Holiday Greetings 2018

Holiday Greetings 2018!

Visits with Zia

We used San Francisco as our international airport for two trips to Europe, allowing us to visit Zia, Saad, and Psyche coming and going.

After visiting Venice, Aquileia, Trieste, and Ljubljana on our own in early December, we spent two weeks, including Christmas and the New Year, aboard a small ship in the Adriatic.

In April, after attending the Gathering of American Pilgrims on the Camino in Menlo Park, CA, and celebrating Zia’s first birthday in San Francisco, we flew to France, where we walked the pilgrim route Via Tolosana from Toulouse, France to Puente la Reina in Spain in just over 3 weeks.  I made two movies, the first of the French part of the walk and the second on the Spanish part of the walk. Family Reunion: Hendrickson, Bergquist,Olson, Erickson, etc.

We held a large family reunion in Stephenson, Michigan on September 5.  Six Bergqvist cousins visited from Sweden, and Kent, Psyche, Zia, and Jesse all came with me.  We rented a cottage on Green Bay for several days.  Pictures and videos and links to more resources can be found here: https://www.flickr.com/groups/3783224@N21/

Exploring the Four Corners
By mid-October we finally found a week to visit some special places here in the Southwest.  We had a wonderful time, even though the weather turned cold. After a last very chilly night in our little tent at Natural Bridges, we decided to stick to motels. A good thing,
since we woke up to snow and a flat tire on Mesa Verde on our first of two nights there.

We are surrounded by so much love, and are grateful for our friends, families, and each other during these dark and difficult times for our country and the world.  May peace, grace and love come to all, especially to those in pain.  Lord make me an instrument of thy peace…”
